This piece is a one-of-a-kind incense box that combines a rare part of a maple tree, known as the "ear," which has formed inside the tree over many years, with a radiant golden pearl resin.

The golden-colored resin portion, infused with pearl pigment, emits a rich shimmer depending on the angle of light, thanks to polarizing microparticles made of mica particles coated with titanium dioxide and other materials. The marbled pattern, created by gently mixing the resin before hardening, is unique to each piece, giving it a natural flow and sense of depth.

The edges of the maple burl retain the intricate and three-dimensional grain carved by the tree, and are characterized by their soft and warm colors. Golden resin flows in, enveloping the natural beauty of the form, and depending on the angle of the light, it creates a scene of shimmering particles rippling and undulating.
